Red Cup Rebellion's Saturday Open Thread

The Rebs aren't on, but we'll still be watching football anyway.

Joshua S. Kelly-US PRESSWIRE

It's a nice feeling to not have to worry about a Rebel victory while watching the first week of college football unfold, ain't it? So crack open a beer or ten, order some takeout, heat up some leftovers, or, why the hell not, get that grill fired back up. There's a lot of great NCAA action on today, so let's watch it together and share our poorly informed opinions of what we're seeing.

Here's what I'm looking forward to today (all times central):

  • Rice at Texas A&M - 11:00 AM - ESPN - What will the Aggies look like, even for a mere 30 minutes, without Johnny Football?
  • Mississippi State vs. Oklahoma State - 2:30 PM - ABC - State's gonna lose.
  • Alabama vs. Virginia Tech - 4:30 PM - ESPN - The Tide should roll, but Beamer's Hokies are bound to put up a fight.
  • Georgia at Clemson - 7:00 PM - ABC - Here we have two schools vying for position in the top-10 and the opportunity for a spot in the BCSNCG, in week one. Definitely the must-watch game of the weekend.
  • LSU vs. TCU - 8:00 PM - ESPN - VERY BOLD UPSET PICK ALERT HERE TCU WINS BY 3
What about you?
