Ole Miss Receiving Votes in USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll

Would it surprise you to learn that Alabama is on top?

Alabama comes in at number one, with Ohio State and Oregon just behind the Tide in the initial Coaches Poll. Also in the top-25 are Georgia (5), Texas A&M (6), South Carolina (7), Florida (10), and LSU (13).

The Rebels are in "others receiving votes," with 32 points. That's slightly above Vanderbilt's 29, confirming our suspicions that much of the country sees the progress both of our teams are making. Our season opening match up will certainly be one to watch, and could possibly earn the winner a spot in the top-25.
