CJ Johnson broke his foot this morning during practice. Per Chase Parham:
CJ Johnson fractured his foot during today's practice. Freeze said he'd get it "fixed" this week. #OleMiss

Or, maybe it was his leg:
Correction: fibula fractured on CJ, not foot.

Either way, the junior defensive end, who led the Ole Miss Rebels with 6.5 sacks last year, will be out for the remainder of spring drills. Carlos Thompson or Cameron Wigham, if not both in a rotation, will likely see his first team snaps at rush end.
And if what Chase is reporting is correct, at least the part about it being "fixed" this week (we assume this means surgery), then it is somewhat reasonable to hope that this fracture could be healed by the time fall camp begins. Either way, this injury is quite unfortunate. Recover fully and quickly, CJ.
