It has been a good weekend to be an Ole Miss Rebel fan thus far. On Friday night, the Bobby Wahl-led diamond Rebs beat the #14 TCU Horned Frogs in a 1-0 decision that wasn't without some controversy to kickstart the 2013 season on a positive note. Yesterday, Mike Mayers and the opportunistic Rebel offense delivered more of the same, winning 5-2 to clinch the series victory for Ole Miss. Shortly thereafter, Marshall Henderson and the Ole Miss basketball team escaped overtime against the Georgia Bulldogs, winning 82-72 in front of a sellout crowd at the Tad Pad.
Today at noon, Chris Ellis will be on the bump for the Rebels against TCU's Stefan Crichton hoping to help in the sweep of Jim Schlossnagle's (still funny) Big XII club. So pack your coolers and don your Costas for one final day, Rebel baseball fans, because Sunday could wind up being an excellent way to start a promising season.
