Pollin': Week Four BlogPoll and Power Poll Ballots

"THAT WAY!"
"THAT WAY!"

The Cup's week four ballot for the SB Nation BlogPoll is...

So three teams took big tumbles, each by eight overall spots in the poll. LSU dropped from second down to tenth by virtue of just barely beating Auburn. Harsh? Perhaps, but look at the teams ranked above them and tell me that they could not conceivably have beaten LSU with the way they played on Saturday. Based on what we've seen thus far, I think every team from 1-9 could have beaten LSU in Auburn's place.

Of course, this isn't like "scientific" or any of that nonsense, so take it for what it's worth.

Oklahoma tumbled eight spots as well for losing at home, something they rarely do. They did lose to Kansas State which, admittedly, is a pretty solid football team, hence their six spot jump.

Michigan falls to number 25. It's tough to punish a team which has played and lost to two teams I have in the top five - and yes, I feel that Notre Dame's is a top team based on their defense, which is legitimately one of the better defenses in the country.

The Cup's SEC Power Poll ballot for this week is:

  1. Alabama Crimson Tide
  2. Georgia Bulldogs
  3. South Carolina Gamecocks
  4. LSU Tigers
  5. Florida Gators
  6. Texas A&M Aggies
  7. Mississippi State Bulldogs
  8. Mizzou Tigers
  9. Tennessee Volunteers
  10. Auburn Tigers
  11. Ole Miss Rebels
  12. Vanderbilt Commodores
  13. Kentucky Wildcats
  14. Arkansas Razorbacks

It is still tough to judge a lot of teams. Is Mizzou just that mediocre or are UGA and Sakerlina that good? Is Auburn better than we thought or was LSU to predictable and derpy to win convincingly on Saturday? What kind of team is Texas A&M?

Two things we can be sure of though are that Alabama is the best team in football right now and Arkansas has clearly thrown in the towel.
