Generally, we are the "authors" of "content" around here - "here" being a blog and not a message board. Recognize, we do, that you've come here not to contribute, but to consume. Nevertheless, there is the sporadic occasion where, either for our benefit or for to exercise the thinkifiers of the masses, we ask you a question. Today's question is . . .
With several fall practices over and done with, has your outlook on the upcoming fall football season changed whatsoever?
More on this later this evening, but the fall practices have shown Ole Miss fans some things about which to get excited. Our young defensive backs and halfbacks seem to be adapting well to the pace and style of SEC football practices. The defensive line seems more physically ready than the past two seasons. The offensive players seem to know the playbook well enough. Et cetera.
But, then again, there are plenty of things about which to worry. Hugh Freeze has yet to name a starting quarterback. Channing Ward is not yet NCAA eligible. Our offensive line does not seem to have a real identity. DT Shackelford is still hurt. And so on.
So are you more excited about this season than you were a few weeks ago, or are you less excited than you were a few weeks ago? Why?
