Is Bobby Massie a legitimate early round draft pick?

Ole Miss sweeps doubleheader | Hugh
Take that, bears! The Rebs swept the hapless University of Central Arkansas baseball team in a pair of seven inning contests last night. Few people noticed, but such is a midweek doubleheader, I suppose.

A look at the Rebels’ RPI situation | Speed Limit 18
Being in the SEC, the Rebels are going to play a lot of top-100 RPI baseball teams simply by virtue of our scheduling. With TCU, UNC-Wilmington, Houston, and Louisville all being top-100 RPI teams, and with Southern Miss being just on the cusp, our Rebels should be competitive enough to maintain a top-20 RPI (they are currently at 15).

Freeze praises Ole Miss defense after practice; Randall Mackey spends time at receiver | Gulflive.com
Randall Mackey working out at wideout and halfback is certainly intriguing, and for a few reasons. First, he's athletic and elusive, so we'll need him on the field somewhere. Second, that opens the possibility up for silly trick plays, and y'all know I love some silly trick plays. Third, it means that Barry Brunetti and Bo Wallace have emerged as the frontrunners to start at the quarterback position come football season.

New York Giants 2012 NFL Draft : Bobby Massie | RantSports.com
Could Bobby Massie be yet another in the long-ish line of Ole Miss Rebels turned New York giants? More importantly, can Bobby Massie demonstrate our sneaking suspicion that this team does have some talented players which were simply poorly or underutilized under the previous regime?

Ole Miss extends Andy Kennedy's contract 1 season | The Clarion-Ledger
Andy Kennedy's salary is being extended through 2015, which is when the Randy Kennedy Memorial Gymnasium is expected to be completed. I have mixed feelings on this, but so long as we're not paying him more, I'll be fine I suppose.

Ole Miss takes slight drop in total salary for new football assistants | Hugh
Speaking of money and Ole Miss coaches, here's a look at what Hugh Freeze's assistants are going to make this year. Overall, this staff will make less than Nutt's staff, but interestingly (oddly?) enough, DC Dave Wommack will be making more than Tyrone Nix will at just over $500K a year. How in the hell did he swing that?

Ole Miss’ Robertson Draws Acclaim from Bowerman Watch List Committee | USTFCCCA
Track star Ricky Robertson is the first male athlete from Ole Miss to be named this award's watch list. It's, like, the most prestigious thing you can get as a track star, or something. Congrats to Ricky.

Eskimos ink Ole Miss alum | Toronto Sun
Jeremiah Masoli was signed by the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos. I'm still not entirely sure of the nuances which separate Canadian football from its vastly superior American counterpart, but I think there are 13 men on each side of the ball instead of 11, the field is 110 yards long instead of 100, and each squad is allowed to sign one large, non-human land mammal per season.
