Gameday Open Thread: (Nittany) Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

We're watching football, and we'd love to watch it with you.

US PRESSWIRE

It's a beautiful day for football in America, y'all. The sun is shining (at least in my neck of the woods), the Irish coffees are warm, and the Rebels are (ohpleaseohpleaseohplease) on the verge of bowl eligibility in the first year of the Hugh Freeze era.

Our game doesn't kick off until later tonight though, so what are we, those of us not fortunate enough to have a Grove in which to spend our afternoon amongst friends and family, watching in the meantime?

NOON:

Arkansas v. South Carolina on CBS - Can Tyler Wilson and John L. Smith knock off the Cocks in Columbia? No, probably not, but it'll be a fun game nonetheless.

Northwestern v. Michigan on ESPN - I've got Michigander friends in town this weekend, so this one's definitely on the menu. Watch as Denard Robinson probably hurts himself due a complete reckless abandon for his limbs and a beautifully pure love of the sport! Also watch as Brady Hoke stubbornly refuses to wear anything with sleeves, as if he's a child who doesn't want to put his coat on, despite his mother's pleading to the contrary!

3:30/2:30 PM:

Texas A&M v. Alabama on CBS - Johnny Football? Nick Saban thinks nicknames are for sissies.

Penn State v. Nebraska on ABC - No, really, this should be a hard-fought, fundamentally sound football contest. Stop laughing.

7:00/6:00 PM:

Ole Miss v. Vanderbilt on ESPNU - Open thread coming this afternoon y'all. Get excited.

Kansas State v. TCU on FOX - The Wildcats are on upset alert.

Schtuyte vs. Ellessewe on ESPN - Don't stop believin'.
