On Deck: Rebels look to get back on track in Knoxville

After a rough weekend on the diamond last weekend, the Rebels will look to get their SEC record straightened out.  Ole miss comes into the weekend 16-6 (1-2 SEC) and Tennessee comes in 17-4 (1-2) after dropping last weekend's series at Kentucky.

The SEC schedule has begun revealing the type of team Bianco has this year in Oxford.  Let's hope that the first weekend is not the final verdict.Tennessee is a team that has done pretty well against a really weak schedule, and their RPI of 123 demonstrates that.

As a team, they bat .337 and have stolen 53 bases on the year.  Their offensive leader is Khayyan Norfolk with a .500 average in 80 at bats.  That is phenomenal.  He also has ten doubles, two triples, and two dingers on the season.

Defensively, they field at a .971 clip and have a staff ERA of 3.36.  They have a ton of pitchers who have pitched innings this season.  As a staff, they look pretty solid as 6 of their pitches with double digit innings pitched have an ERA of less than 2.  They have two players who have 2 saves a piece: Matt Ramsay (0 ERA) and Zack Godley (2.08 ERA).

Ole Miss comes in batting .283 overall.  The Rebels are led at the plate by Matt Tracy who is hitting .327.  Only 5 Rebels are batting more than .300.  Defensively, the staff ERA is 2.71, and Bianco's boys field at an amazing .980 clip.

I seriously doubt that we travel all the way to Knoxville and pull off the series win, but we desperately need to.
