NCAA Tourney First Four Open Thread

The inaugural First Four will tip off tonight in a battle for another couple nights chasing the national title.

Here's the line-up for tonight's games:

16.) UNC-Asheville (19-13) vs. 16.) Arkansas Little Rock (19-16) at 5:30 CST

12.) Clemson (21-11)  vs. 12.) UAB (22-8) at 8:00 CST

Both games are televised on TruTV, which is more known for shows about repo'ing cars and Forensic Files.

UAB is the C-USA champ while Clemson is one of the lower end ACC teams though neither team will have a great chance at beating West Virginia on Thursday.

If you're a degenerate gambler, go with Clemson. UAB hasn't been able to close out big games including two losses to Memphis and a two-point loss to Georgia.

UAB coach Mike Davis seems to have a fairly solid squad, but Clemson should be able to grind out this win.

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about UNC-Asheville or UALR. I don't think UNC Asheville has that player who is 8 feet tall anymore (Google it), but I do remember them upending Coastal Carolina (who's got like 30 wins or something). Go with UNCA on that one...either way again, they are playing Pitt on Thursday, so tourney run is likely over after tonight anyway.
