Patrick Willis recently signed a deal with San Francisco that keeps him there through 2016. Why? Because he is the best linebacker in the league, and it's getting more and more difficult to argue with that assertion. Makes you wonder in retrospect how many of those agonizingly close losses during the Orgeron years were accountable almost entirely to Willis' presence on the field.
Meanwhile, I look forward to Chris Warren's final season for the Rebels. Though he has frustrated us at times, Warren has been a huge reason that the Rebels have had some success in the past three seasons. Having Warren and Terrico White on the court at the same time should have made for the best Ole Miss basketball season in years, but, for whatever reason, that did not happen. Now, with Terrico drafted and Murphey Holloway gone, Warren has to be the unquestioned leader of this team. That's an exciting and frustrating prospect.
