Brett Huber Named to Freshman All-America Team | GulfLive.com
Something which might have been a bit overlooked in favor of both Drew Pomeranz being a badass and Ole Miss once again being Ole Miss was the success Brett Huber saw on the mound for the Diamond Rebs. He was tabbed as a Freshman All-American which puts him in some great Rebel company.

Huber is the fifth Rebel to garner Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America, joining former Rebels Seth Smith (2002), Alex Presley (2004), Zach Miller (2007) and Cody Satterwhite (2007) to be selected by the magazine. Huber was also named a Freshman All-America selection by Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association.

He is the eighth Rebel to receive Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball. He joins pitchers Adam Yates (2001), Cody Satterwhite (2006) and Drew Pomeranz (2008), along with two-way player Stephen Head (2003) as players who have taken the mound for Ole Miss and been named to the Freshman All-America team by the publication.

Congratulations, Brett.

In College Football Recruiting, Commitments Often Mean Little | Andy Staples, SI.com
Staples is killing it right now with his 'crootin coverage. Gerrod Holliman, one of our most recent commitments, is a highly coveted defensive back out of Florida who, despite his commitment to Ole Miss and propensity for rocking Ole Miss gear (follow the link, there's a photo and a video of him wearing a Rebel cap) is still, according to Staples, being actively pursuied by Louisville and West Virginia.

Listen, Charlie and Bill, y'all cain't have him. He's ours. Get over it. Move on.

You better believe I'm one of the two Ole Miss votes on there.
