Rebel Roundup - 5/11/10

Bucs rookie Snead Eager | Tampa Bay Online
Jevan doesn't regret leaving early, per the article. He's happy to have his degree and was glad to have played a couple of successful college seasons. When asked how "happy" he was to be the fourth string quarterback for the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, Snead offered no "reply," just a series of grunts and shoulder shrugs.

Rebels' Stanley Ready for Chance That Comes Early | NCAAFB FanHouse
Stanley is not only confident in his abilities as a quarterback, but also in the capabilities and potency of the offense in general.

I am really looking forward to [playing QB] because we have a lot of weapons on the offensive side of the ball.

I guess I'll just take your word for it, along with a fist-sized grain of salt. Oh, and in other related news, Nathan Stanley's haircut looks like Darth Vader's helmet.

Spring Football Answers: Rebels | Gatorsports.com
What is with the photographs accompanying today's links? This one has Houston Nutt grappling SHAMEFACE Snead by the arm and fending off what, according to Coach's expressions, a wild beast or would be rapist. Goofy photographs aside, the article has an optimistic, albeit contradictory look at our Rebel football team post-Spring.

"Contradictory? How so?!"

The furst note on our "upside" is that Nathan Stanley's coming on strong. The first note on our "downside" is that we're in a "quandary at quarterback." Also, the author is apparently unaware that Nathan Stanley is a scholarshipped athlete which isn't so much "contradictory" as it is "inaccurate".
