Notes: Pair of freshmen defenders suspended
Aaaaand the Debbie Downer portion of the afternoon. There have been some rumblings about some freshmen footballers - previously rumored to be some "Miami kids" - getting in significant enough trouble to earn significant scorn from Coach Nutt. Well, that's official, as Miami natives and freshmen footballers Delvin Jones and Tony Grimes are in the coach's doghouse, being suspended indefinitely for the ever-vague "violation of team rules." Jones and Grimes have both contributed this season, with Grimes even earning a start at some point. Losing these two would hurt immensely, so you know that whatever they've done to anger Nutt and Co. must be at least a "serious-esque" offense.
