The NFL Combine isn’t nearly as exciting for Ole Miss fans this year as it was last year, when Laremy Tunsil, Laquon Treadwell and Robert Nkemdiche took center stage in Indy. Still, there are a handful of former Rebels to keep an eye on this week.
For dumb and dubious reasons, that group does not include quarterback Chad Kelly, who will have to wait until Ole Miss pro day to show off his arm and surgically repaired knee. But it does include Evan Engram, who could establish himself as an early-round pick with a strong showing at the combine. Heading into the weekend, CBS Sports predicted he’ll be a second rounder and ranked him as the third best tight end prospect on the board behind Bama’s O.J. Howard and Miami’s David Njoku. Sports Illustrated recently called Engram “2017’s forgotten top-tier tight end” and ranked him above Njoku.
Also in Indy are defensive tackle D.J. Jones, defensive end Fadol Brown and wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo. We’ll be tracking all of their measurable at the combine in the chart below.
