Just wanted to share this perspective. I found it interesting and hope your readers do as well.
Mississippi State is walking with its figurative chest stuck out, currently boasting a #8 recruiting class ranking (accordingto 247sports). Well, I went to diggin' yesterday to see what all the fuss was about. As it turns out, It ain't all that.
State has 13 recruits so far: zero five-stars. 2 four-stars. 11 3-stars.
in contrast, Alabama's #1 ranking contains 15 recruits: 1 five-star, 11 four-stars, 3 3-stars.
Ole Miss' current rank is #34. Sounds awful, but it isn't. HF has 5 recruits at this point: 2 4-stars and 3 3-stars.
While HF has work to do, it is May. Seems to me he is measured and knows exactly where he and his staff are in the rat race of recruiting. The numbers will come and they will come with purpose and presence. He's proven that and will continue to. As for the Bulldogs, don't believe the hype.
Also, a quick shout-out to all RCR contributors from Ghost on down. You folks are a quality bunch.
Hotty Toddy y'all!
