Ole Miss 65, Auburn 62: Four Factors Review

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

The Ole Miss Rebels begin SEC play 1-0 after beating the Auburn Tigers 65-62 last night at the Tad Pad. Highlights of the game are below but, for some reason, they contain no audio. Just play some music over them. Might I suggest...

Ole Miss Auburn
Possessions 61
eFG% 50.0% 46.43%
TO% 15.2% 30.4%
OR% 38.2%

52.8%

FTR 39.6 26.7
OM PPP 1.09
WKU PPP 1.05

Official recap and box score is here.

Quick thoughts:

* I've been to a lot of basketball games and see a lot of things, but I've never seen anyone not be able to check into a game because they they forgot to put on their jersey under their warmups. Holy Hell Sebastian.

* We can't rebound for 40 minutes. We did well in the first half, but the second half was a disaster.

* Our defense on the initial shot continues to be very good. We just give up too many second and third chance points.

* Aaron Jones was a beast tonight. He was everywhere and did a little bit of everything.

It would be interesting to see how well this team would have played - as well as how Auburn would have played - with Marshall Henderson in. Still, it's a conference win without Marshall seeing a second of game time, so we'll take it. If you have thoughts on last night's game, share them below.
