Ole Miss Beats Texas by 21 Points

Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports

Yeah... it was crazy.

We'll have a longer update tomorrow, but damn. Ole Miss won. By a lot.

The Rebels had a terrible second quarter but a wonderful second half which saw Texas score ZERO points.

Let's not focus on what this means for the future and just enjoy the fact that the Rebels beat TEXAS. TEXAS. I know they're not the Texas of old, but who cares?

Bo Wallace didn't turn the ball over. Jeff Scott had rocket boots on tonight. The defense came up huge in the second half. Jeff Scott's punt return was nasty.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness. It's just... wow. I never anticipated this. This morning I woke up predicting a ten point win by the Longhorns. I was wrong. Dead wrong. The Rebels face Alabama in two weeks and are playing with nothing to lose. I'm certainly not predicting an Ole Miss win, but it's nice to be 3-0 to start the season.
