Women's Basketball Releases Schedule

Coach Matt Insell released his team's schedule for the 2013-2014 season today. You can see the full schedule at the mothership of Ole Miss Media Relations.

Ole Miss kicks off their season under the direction of their new head coach on Sunday, November 3rd. The schedule includes a trip to the 2012 NCAA Tournament Champion Baylor Bears on December 18th. Other Top 50 RPI opponents include conference foes Tennessee, Vanderbilt, LSU, South Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky.

Insell will travel back to Lexington, Kentucky to play in Rupp Arena on February 13th, 2014 for the first time since being declared Ole Miss' new head basketball coach. He previously served as an assistant coach to Kentucky Head Coach Matthew Mitchell for five years.

Ole Miss will participate in this year's Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii in mid-November, where they will face West Virginia, Hawaii, and Washington State.

Coach Insell is the third coach in two years for the women's basketball team, hired as one of the nation's top assistants after the conclusion of the 2012-2013 season. Insell is expected to bring his experience in recruiting for one of the nation's top programs (Kentucky) to Oxford, in addition to his fast-paced, up and down the floor style of play.
