It was just under a month ago that this team was a consensus top 10 performer, and now they're likely to be barely hanging in the top 25 once this week's polls come out. After failing to qualify and sign for 2013, Jeremy Liggins has committed to Ole Miss for the 2014 class out of Northeast MS Community College. This announcement was made from the Abner's parking lot on the corner of University and Lamar. The former Lafayette County High School quarterback plays on the defensive front for NEMS, and is likely to play end at the next level.

After being upset 4-1 by Florida, the No. 7 Rebel men's tennis team rebounded to beat no. 20 South Carolina 4-2 in Oxford. This moves the team to 14-6 overall and 7-4 in league play, which clinches at least a share of the SEC West. If the Rebs win at Texas A&M next weekend, they'll clinch the division and probably maintain their top-10 ranking.
