Well, that put a bit of a damper on the Rebel sports weekend, didn't it? The Rebs dropped two-of-three to the Kentucky Wildcats at Swayze Field, again due largely to offensive miscues and, you know, baseball. More on this later.

At this rate, I can't see the Rebels hosting a regional at all. A trip to Eugene wouldn't be particularly forgiving as a regional destination as well. In all, the Ole Miss baseball playoff outlook isn't particularly advantageous.

Bo will be back to throwing in a week's time, meaning that if his shoulder is as fine as we hope it to be, he'll have roughly four months to get back in SEC quarterback shape for the season opener against Vanderbilt. This, of course, is damn good news.

Definitely the talk of the draft weekend from an Ole Miss perspective is that Murphy Holloway has opted to leave basketball behind and sign with the NFL's Baltimore Ravens as a tight end. He's definitely athletic enough to earn at least a fair tryout, I feel.
