Ole Miss Rebel News and Notes celebrates the series sweep over Tennessee this weekend.

Ole Miss uses 3-run 9th inning to top UT | WBIR.com
The Rebels had won the series, and looked all but ready to concede the sweep heading into the ninth inning with a 3-1 deficit. In the top of that inning though, the Rebs would take advantage of a Tennessee throwing error and combine gutsy base running with timely hitting to earn a victory and a series sweep. The sweep puts the Rebels right back in the mix for getting in position to a regional, assuming more victories are forthcoming.

Of note was Wahl's complete game three-hitter on Friday night. It was fantastic. There's really nothing more to add to that. Dude can pitch.

Dre Mathieu sets up visits to Ole Miss, Memphis. | Knoxville News Sentinel
Dre Mathieu is a first team Juco All-American point guard at the College of Central Arizona, who is interested in Pepperdine, Memphis, Minnesota, and our Ole Miss Rebels. If we're going to become the go-to destination for talented juco guards then, well, I'd be totally fine with that.

Inside Forbes: On a Visit to Ole Miss, a Look Into Journalism's Past, Present and Future - Forbes
Lewis DVorkin of Forbes recently spoke to the Meek School of Journalism, and came away impressed with our student body and its aspiring media members.

As I spoke, I saw one attentive student pitched so far forward in the auditorium seating that I thought he might tip over. I asked his name. Tim Summers, he replied. Then he captured the spirit of the 100 or so who were there, many preparing to launch a wave of questions with far more open minds than professional media reporters on the hunt for gotcha moments. “The bricks and mortar are gone,” Tim said, “but the idealism remains.” He didn’t stop there, using the words “trust,” “value” and “audience” and others in all the ways that showed an understanding of what’s important in the new era of journalism.

Nice job, Tim.

And finally, how about a tweet to get us Rebel fans excited
