Ole Miss Rebel News and Notes looks at the Grove Bowl, Baseball's Sweep of Alabama, and more.

Defense dominates injury-shortened Grove Bowl | SBNation.com
It wasn't a real Grove Bowl, so whatever observations we have should be taken with an even bigger grain of salt as usual. The defense did do well for the most part, but largely due to the underachievement and lack of depth we saw on offense. More on this whenever we get around to it.

So who of y'all would like to play offensive line, tight end, cornerback, or wide receiver in the SEC? Nobody? Well I thought I'd try. The guys we do have at those positions aren't untalented, we just need more of them, especially if we're going to run and defend hurry ups, no huddles, and spreads.

Talk about bouncing back. After losing three straight SEC series, the Rebel baseball team swept the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend in Oxford.

SEC West Champs | OleMissSports.com
The Ole Miss Rebels are once again the SEC West tennis champs... sorta. Yeah, we're getting a trophy and all from the conference, but we share the distinction with the Texas A&M Aggies, who we lost to this past weekend in College Station. Regardless, the Rebel netters had an excellent season, finishing 7-5 in SEC play and earning a tie for third overall in the conference. They'll be the No. 5 seed in the SEC tennis tournament which will be held in Oxford this weekend.

And then there's this...

Looks like somebody wants to play tight end in the NFL.
