If this can't motivate the players and coaching staff, I guess they just don't have a pulse. The All-SEC men's basketball team (as voted on by the coaches) was released a few minutes ago. Marshall Henderson (conference's leading scorer) was named to the second team. Murphy Holloway was also named to the second team.All SEC Team

Now, I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with the coaches. Henderson's positive and negative skills on the court have been discussed ad nauseum on this board. He's not much of a defender, and his shot selection can be suspect at crucial times. But, the guy can score (and did it better than any of his peers this year). We definitely wouldn't be where we are without him, and I think he has a valid argument to be listed above several guys on the first team.

Hopefully this will provide a little extra motivation the guys as they prepare for Nashville. I think the whole "nobody respects us" schtick is way overplayed in sports these days, but if that's what it takes for us to win the tourney, then let it ride and let's put posters showing the all-SEC first team up in the locker room.
