Nick Williams "Probable" for Wednesday

20130124_gav_ad8_179

Nick Williams has been declared "probable" for tomorrow night's matchup with Mississippi State after sustaining further injury to an already injured foot in last week's game against Kentucky. After undergoing an MRI, his foot was put in a hard cast, reportedly to protect a damaged tendon in his sole. The cast was removed yesterday, and Coach Kennedy suggested the call would be made based on Nick's pain tolerance.

If Williams can manage to continue to give Ole Miss productive minutes off the bench, it's a huge boost and an excellent turnaround for a Rebel squad that's looking for a strong close to the season. At the time of his injury, Williams was second to only Kyle Wiltjer of the Kentucky Wildcats as the most productive 6th man in the league.

In other news, Demarco Cox is still doubtful for tomorrow night, but is expected to be slowly added to the rotation once again within the next week or so.
