Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

The Rebels continue to rise after two wins this past week.

Andy Kennedy's Ole Miss Rebels continue their rise in the rankings, climbing to #16 in both the AP and Coaches polls today. They are the second highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference after the fourth-ranked Florida Gators. The only other SEC team in the top-25 are the Missouri Tigers, who check in at #17.

After making their debut last week at #23, the Rebels beat Tennessee and Auburn this week and were able to climb the rankings on the backs of those two performances.

This week the Rebels have Kentucky at home and Florida on the road. The Wildcats are having a down year, but are still dangerous as they're expectedly a very talented team. More on the Wildcats tomorrow with a proper preview, but let's just say that the Tad Pad won't guarantee a victory over Calipari and crew. The Gators, well, they're arguably the best team in basketball right now and unquestionably the best team in the SEC. They're not unbeatable at home, but, uh, yeah, let's just say that our chances are slim.

Still, with this tough stretch coming up, the Rebs aren't dropping out of the top-25 anytime soon as far as we can tell. Kennedy and company, keep the momentum going.
