My mom works for the Boys & Girls Club of Oxford and they’re holding an auction for a three-night stay for six during the Texas-Ole Miss football weekend at the Isom House, which, if you don’t know, is a historic home near the Square.

The BGC is a great organization that has helped countless kids in Oxford and across North Mississippi. I could cut-and-paste the corporate liner but, as I said, my mom works there and what you need to know is that it provides a lot of at-risk kids a safe, healthy place to go after school and throughout the year. It's a positive environment that fosters confidence and self-esteem, giving these kids an opportunity to reach their full potential and become productive citizens.

Check out the auction. Get five friends and go in together if you want - you'll have the best accommodations in the city on arguably the biggest home game weekend of the year (because, like, we'll still have hope and stuff).
