The D.T. Shackelford story | Ole Miss Sports
The sworn Enemy of the Cup, Hughbert J. Kellenburger, recently interviewed Rebel linebacker DT Shackelford. They talked about his knee injury, his ongoing recovery, and his outlook on his potential playing time for this fall. The video of the interview (Yay! No reading involved!) is beyond that link. I for one haven't a clue as to whether or not DT will be healthy enough to play and contribute this fall, but I certainly hope he is. He's the type of presence this defense needs.
Dandy Dozen '12: Jackson Prep's Buchanan born to throw | The Clarion-Ledger
Jackson Prep quarterback Ryan Buchanan was added to the prestigious Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen over the weekend. He marks the first current Ole Miss commitment on the Dandy Dozen list, and he certainly won't be the last. Congratulations, Ryan.
Q & A with Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork | The Daily Journal
There's some good stuff here. Bjork talks about ongoing fundraising efforts, plans to upgrade and construct new facilities, the hires he has made, and his overall impression Ole Miss and the direction he sees our athletics programs heading. It is definitely worth a read, especially if you're curious as to the details of his plans, efforts, and initiatives as the youngest AD in the SEC.
New, with Flash | Scout.com
Corny, if not interesting, references to The Wonder Years aside, Scout.com's Ben Garrett nails it with this one:
All I ask from you, the Ole Miss fan, is this: Be patient ... This team is so broken, so thin, so damaged. Freeze has his work cut out for him.
We have a bit of a reputation, as a school and as a fan base, for losing our patience. That surely will be tested this fall.
