A little late this weekend but I had a pretty busy/eventful weekend. It appears that some of the former Rebels are struggling right now, but hopefully they can get it together. As always, the players and their stats are below the jump.
Lance Lynn (Cardinals)- Lance continues to dominate as he won again this past week going 7.0 innings with 4 Ks and 1 BB. He is now 3-0 with a 1.42 ERA. He has 17 Ks in 19 IP. Has an opponent batting average of .159 and a WHIP of .74, which is very impressive.
Alex Presley (Pirates)- Naturally had to put Presley after Lynn as Presley recorded his first HR of the year, be it a "inside the park" HR. Other than that, it was a slow week for Presley he went 5-20 (.200). He is down to .273 on the year with 4 RBIs. Struck out 12 times to 2 walks.
Drew Pomeranz (Rockies)- Drew had his second start of the year and it went slightly better than the first outing. Pitched 5 innings allowing 2 ERa, striking out 6 and walking 3. Got the No Decision and is now 0-1 on the year with a 6.75 ERA.
Matt Maloney (Twins)- Maloney had 2 appearances this past week pitching 3.2 innings against the NYY allowing 2 ERs. He also pitched 1 inning against TB and recorded the W. He is 1-0 on the year in relief.
Seth Smith (A's)- Seth continues to struggle as he went 3-24 (.125) over the past week with no RBIs and no extra base hits. His average is now down to .205 on the year. Seth did walk 5 times this week which doubled his walks from the entire year. As I said last week, not the average you want from your 3 hole hitter.
Zack Cozart (Reds)- Zaxk cooled off a little this week going 4-23 (.174) with 1 RBI and 4 walks. Zack is hitting .279 on the year with an OBP of .353. 7 of his 17 hits are extra base hits.
Chris Coghlan (Marlins)- Coghlan was already splitting time in the outfield but poor performance is limiting his opportunities. He went 1-8 (.125) this past week and his average has fallen to .148. Really hope he can turn this around.
