Here'a a look at how the Rebels match up with the UALR Trojans using the Four Factors. (National Rank in parentheses)
| Ole Miss O | UALR D | UALR O | Ole Miss D | ||
| eFG% | 50.0% (105) | 42.4% (88) | 42.7% (248) | 41.7% (77) | |
| TO% | 14.0% (12) | 17.1% (272) | 22.6% (219) | 26.7 % (39) | |
| OR% | 40.9% (53) | 24.3% (45) | 33.3% (154) | 36.6% (228) | |
| FTR | 44.8 (81) | 41.9 (107) | 49.1 (107) | 38.0 (188) |
The Trojans are a very balanced team, with 5 guys scoring 9.5+ ppg. They also shoot FTs very well, sporting a nifty 73.5% FT%. They've beaten UT-Martin at home this year, but are fresh off a 70-52 loss at Louisiana Tech, coached by the Rebels' own Michael White.
Even just glancing at the stats, you can see this one heavily favors the Rebels, particularly in the turnover category. Offensively, the Rebels are 12th in the country in TO%, turning the ball over on only 14% of its possessions. Defensively, UALR is forcing turnovers only 17.1% of possessions, which is 272nd in the country. On the flip side, UALR turns the ball over on 22.6% of its possessions and the Rebels are forcing turnovers on 26.7% of its possessions.
UALR has been fantastic stopping the 3 this year, allowing opponents to shoot only 25%. While the Rebels haven't shot at a high % as a team, it will be fun to watch Marshall Henderson (and his ridiculous 67.2% eFG%) go against that sort of perimeter D.
The major area of concern for Rebel fans this year has been the lackadaisical effort when it comes to rebounding. CCU outrebounded the Rebels despite having no depth at big man and no one taller than 6'7. The Rebels rank 228th in the country, allowing opponents to get 36.6% of their own misses. While that's not a category UALR excels in, the Rebels certainly made CCU look like world beaters there.
This game shouldn't be as competitive as the CCU game. Vegas has us favored by 15 and honestly, that seems small. UALR will likely struggle to hang on to the ball and, when they do get shots up, the eFG% stats above say the ball is not likely to go in. While it won't be as ugly as the MVSU game, the Rebs should have no problem moving to 3-0.
