Everyone on the recruiting boards and on here keep talking about our limited number of 'scholarship players.' Too often I read the line 'Well we only got 64 scholarship players' as a reason for our poor depth.
Where did this number 64 come from? Can it be confirmed? And how many scholarship players do we ideally need to have? I know there's an 85-scholarship limit. How well do other SEC teams compare against that 85-scholly limit?
Does anyone have a resource I can look at? I want to see the numbers for myself.
