Rebel Roundup - November 12, 2012

Spruce Derden-US PRESSWIRE

Ole Miss Rebel news and notes tries to stay positive today.

Commodores stun Ole Miss with last-minute TD pass | The Commercial Appeal
This is written well enough to bring the agony of Saturday's fourth quarter all back to us! Jordan Rodgers does deserve credit for his great play in the second half, though.

Urban Meyer in ATL, Nkemdiche chants at Ole Miss game, and Reuben Foster’s gigantic Auburn tattoo | AJC College Sports Recruiting
Regarding Robert Nkemdiche, there is no new news. That isn't necessarily good or bad news for our Rebels though, because Dr. Sunday Nkemdiche, Robert and Denzel's father, was highly complimentary of the atmosphere and fans inside of Vaught-Hemingway. Of course, we have no idea if that means anything, but it's worth mentioning.

Ole Miss coach Freeze eyes offensive balance | The Clarion-Ledger
The Rebels were able to move the ball through the air, with Bo Wallace passing for a stunning 403 yards, but the Rebel run game and red zone offenses were inept against a stout Vanderbilt front. Coach Hugh Freeze knows that balance on offense is necessary to win in the Southeastern Conference, and we have no doubt that this will be a focal point of his preparation this week for LSU.

Ole Miss Topples Mississippi Valley State | OleMissSports.com
In positive news, the men's basketball team got off to a good start to their season, defeating Mississippi Valley State 93-57 on Friday night. They will play Coastal Carolina tomorrow night at the Tad Pad.
