Bah Humbug

All I wanted for Christmas this year was a good recruiting effort, but it's not looking good. It's like asking for an IPAD for Christmas and getting a pencil with paper instead. LSU stole a recruit from our backyard and will probably steer the No.1 JUCO WR right down them with him. Sheldon Dawson is going to be a bulldog, well at least he didn't go to Starkpatch but most of the best talent from Mississippi did, which F*'n sucks. I know that coach hasn't had much of a chance to recruit this off-season but with a poor class coming in and the fortuitous of others may put us worse than last year atleast talent wise. I sincerely hope coach can give us some sort of relevency this year although it's far fetched to think we probably will stand a fighting chance against Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas and non conference foe Texas (that's 5 losses) and Vanderbilt, Auburn & MSMOO aren't a guarantee either which puts us on the fast track of giving up half way through the season like the past two years. This coming year looks just as abysmal as the past two with no sign of turning it around in the near future, as you can tell my bourbon glass is half full.

Actually, you got a good recruiting EFFORT. Freeze has worked very hard in the 6 weeks he's been here.

What you lack is good recruiting RESULTS. And with the shitshow we’ve got going on here right now, there’s no reason to expect otherwise this recruiting season.

Just buckle in. It’s going to be a very long 2012. He’ll do much better in crootin after the ‘12 season and you’ll start to see some marked improvement during the 2013 season. And if we don’t, then I’m an idiot and an asshole for expecting as much.

I’m not faulting Freeze on effort, I know it would be expecting a miracle for use to have a good class coming in. I do believe that we will get better with time. I believe our offense with our existing players would be much inproved just by the coaching change alone, I’m just crying that we didn’t do as well as I had hoped we would have,

Rumor is that Oxford turned down Mumford and Sons' offer to play a two day show because they didn't wanna sell beer at it or something.

I’m assuming a Sat/Sun deal at the Lyric.

That's not clear enough.

Mumford and Sons allegedly were trying to arrange a show in Oxford. They wanted the magical alcohol law exception the city gives to bars and restaurants on Sundays after football Saturdays to accomodate their shows. The said no, so Mumford and Sons passed.
