Ole Miss Extends Offer to QB Jalen Whitlow
Jalen Whitlow, a 3 star QB/Athlete out of Prattville Alabama, has been offered a scholarship to play football at Ole Miss. Whitlow (6'3" 200 lbs) is currently an Arkansas State commitment, however his stock has been on the rise as of late. It's believed that it's not too late for Ole Miss to convince Whitlow (and his 4.55 forty time) to come to Oxford.

Update:
Jalen Whitlow just committed to Kentucky. He can’t wait to ride a horse, watch a basketball game, and tell people that he has a friend named Joker.
I always say 'beer me.' It gets a laugh, like, a quarter of the time.

Rock bottom....
Now we’re losing recruits to the likes of Kentucky. Lord knows good ole Hugh Freeze has his work cut out for him. Good luck Coach Freeze. This definitely falls on the administration allowing the lame duck situation.
Guess I better go ahead and put myself on the liver transplant list. This is going to be a long year……WAOM.
No. Fucking. Shit.
This definitely falls on the administration allowing the lame duck situation.
I’m not saying Freeze could have done some things differently, but he’s only had, what, a month-and-a-half to work on this class? He has had the deck stacked against him from day one due to Nutt and his clowns not coaching or recruiting for two or three months.
Should have tossed Nutt’s ass to the curb after the Vandy game (really, J’Ville State two years ago, if we’re gonna hop in the Delorean and fix shit) and named Gunter the interim. We wouldn’t have won many more games, if any, but we’d at least be in better shape for 2012-13.

(Meant to put your snippet re: the lame duck situation in quotes.)

AT THIS POINT
I’d rather go to Kentucky. At least you’d get to watch some world class basketball.

supposedly
at OM we wanted him to play WR but KY was recruiting him as a QB
let’s make a rule for next year: tell all the recruits they can play their current position, get them signed and in camp then start the flip flopping

Why are we not doing this now?!
It’s not dishonest if you say something that could or could not work out. Wait til camp and make the guy prove himself. If he can’t hack it tell him he can be a 3rd string QB or sub in and out with the WRs. If he’d rather play 3rd string, let him ride the bench until he figures it out.
After he begged us for an offer and we didn't give him one...
He’ll probably tell us to fuck off.
We’ll probably steal the rest of our recruits from Delta State since the ones with offers from Arksansas State and La Tech are choosing those schools over us.
Please
Can’t we just get the Death Penalty and start over????

This morning I went to Rivals and clicked on the commit list button for Ole Miss.
It popped up a message that said “This school does not have a football program.”
It was just an error; when I reloaded the page, the list came up.
But there for a second, I thought maybe Nutt really had done us in…

We dodged a bullet
Being from Alabama, I know that we are much better off having even the like of Bo Wallace than Jalen Whitlow. The 2012 version of Larry Smith should excite no one. And this bit about 4.55 speed? Guess who didn’t have 4.55 speed? Eli Manning. I want a fast, shiffty runningback, but I want a smart, strong-armed quarterback.
