I'm keeping up with the number of targets each WR gets to get a better idea of performance by our receiving corps.

We had a total of 23 targets in the game (throw away and spikes do not count).  We had two clear favorite WRs in Ja-Mes Logan (5 targets) and Donte Moncrief (6 targets); no one else had more than 2.

A little analysis after the jump…

Ja-Mes Logan lived up to his reputation of being a solid, steady WR.  He caught 4 passes (80% catch rate) for 52 yards (10.4 YPT). 

Moncreif didn't fare as well, which probably should be expected out of a freshman in his first game.  He had 3 catches (50% catch rate) for 16 yards (2.7 YPT).  While that is a really low yards per target, I don't think it tells the whole story - 2 of Donte's catches went for first downs and the other was a WR screen that wasn't blocked very well.  Once he gets his catch rate up, he should put up some good numbers.

Other highlights:

Ferbia Allen had the highest YPT with 1 target for 13 yards.

It's nice to see the TE get involved in the action with both Allen and Mosley (2 targets for 21 yards) having nice days.

Nick Brassel, like Moncreif, struggled a bit with two targets and no catches.

It's hard to look at these with much significance after only one game so I'll just give you the raw data.
