Aside from the blase bulldog mascot and inferior footballin' conference (notice how I didn't say team, because it's tough to convince me of such right now), what is there to hate about Fresno State? Sure, it's in what is maybe the 6th or 7th most interesting city in California nestled amongst what I imagine are cookie-cutter subdivisions, condominiums, and strip malls, but hyper-accelerated American suburban and exurban development is hardly the fault of the university or denizens of the San Joaquin Valley.
And then there's David Carr and his younger brother Derek, who are what Matt and Tim Hasselbeck are to Peyton and Eli Manning, but to Matt and Tim Hasselbeck.
And then there's the fact that Pauly Shore is their most notable alumnus.
And then there's the whole LIBERAL TRADITION HATING CALIFORNIA angle that I'm sure some of our fair community's newest commenters will take with it.
But, really, when it all boils down to it, I'm having a hard time mustering the HATE for this one. Perhaps y'all can help out.
