Something people aren't saying about Boone

Everyone is talking about Pete Boone's hires/fires, but one thing that no one is really saying is his scheduling of games.  This may just be my own opinion or you may think I am completely wrong or a total idiot, but Boone hasn't been the best at scheduling football games for Ole Miss.

Let's take a look at recent history.  Why did we ever agree to a home and home with Wyoming?  We might have been the first SEC team to every play at Wyoming (correct me if I am wrong), and for good reason. It is all the way across the country.  Why do that? A little more recently, why did Boone agree to play South Carolina on a Thursday night game on ESPN? I know he was thinking, oh this is good national attention, this is good money, and if we win, what great publicity. However, as you all know, we didn't win.  Everyone knows that Thursday night games is usually ALWAYS a trap game and top 25 teams hardly ever fair well.  We shouldn't have agreed to that, could have seen a completely different season. And this year. Why are we traveling all the way to California? No SEC team, I repeat, no SEC team has ever played at Fresno State, and same as Wyoming, for a good reason.  It is on the other side of the country.  Just asking for trouble by doing it.  Let's look at Bama and Florida, how often do you see those teams play out of conference games out of their own state or west of the Mississippi River? Hardly ever.

So we can look all day at what he has done with coaching, but also think about some of the schedules he has help come up with.  Not necessarily the best ones to put us in positions to win.

I may be wrong with all of this, so feel free to tell me what you think, but I do believe this has been a problem under Boone as well.
