We Suck!  Here's my wacky, desperate times call for desperate measures proposal of the moment....

Most of you won't like it.  We drive down to South Mississippi and find Jeff Bower on whatever lake he is fishing on and we tell him we'll pay him more money than he's ever made in a year (won't be that much) to assume the coaching duties of an SEC team with some decent talent and all he has to do is beat MS Statewin 7 games a year and be competitive week in and week out and by God I guarantee you he could do it.  No one will agree with this because everyone thinks USM is shit and "it's just not the same level", but in his 17-18 years, I doubt his fans were ever as embarrassed as we are today.  It will obviously never happen because Pete Boone is an idiot and Bower is probably too smart to involve himself in this charlie foxtrot of a mess, but we'd instantly be 2-3 wins better.

Also, there's not a game left on our schedule where we will be favored - EVEN AGAINST KENTUCKY - so we might as well make some moves now and start prepping for next year.  New coaches in and underclassmen on the field.  Sorry for the Seniors, but it's not like any of them have a realistic shot at playing at the next level.  They should just focus on graduating and separate themselves from what could be the worst season in this program's modern history.
