After week 2, we start to see a little bit more of a trend developing in our targets.  The trend was there in week 1, but now, it's more statistically significant.  Ja-Mes Logan and Donte Moncrief are our top two WRs - Logan is much more effective than Moncrief with his targets.

Both have been thrown the ball 10 times: Logan has 8 catches (80% catch rate) for 106 yards (10.6 YPT).  Moncrief has 5 catches (50% catch rate) for 35 yards (3.5 YPT).  Moncrief needs to get his catch rate up and do a little more with the ball when he gets it.  I'm seeing a lot of curl and out routes out of our offense - it's a little disconcerting that we're not getting any big plays out of our passing game.

The next thing that stood out was our use of the tight end.  Mosley has 5 targets and 4 catches for 26 yards and Ferbia Allen has 2 catches on two targets for 34 yards.  Combined, our TEs have 6 catches for 60 yards.  To put that in perspective, in the last three years, our TEs have had: 6 catches for 59 yards, 7 catches for 47 yards, and 8 catches for 85 yards.  I hope this trend continues and we use the TEs to attack the middle of the field and occasionally threaten the safeties. 

They keep trying to dial up deep threats to Brassell.  The refs bailed him out with a pass interference call Saturday.  The interference was there, but Brassell needs to do a better job of selling it.  Also, he had a nice screen set up that was canceled due to a Bradley Sowell false start.

Specifically in the SIU game, Logan had 5 targets, Moncrief had 4, and Mosley had 3.  Brassell, Allen, Herman, and Sanders had 1 a piece.
