Just bizarre, IMO.

The cow college is the hurdle 2011's BCS Champ will have to overcome if they are to be successful?  Really?

Is the author on some sort of high-dollar A-List in the arts & croissant crowd of Starkville?  This can't be because croissants in Starkville are akin to Pillsbury Whomp-Rolls.  

I have many friends who are as deluded about this possibility even without  some guy from Bleacher Report writing a column about it, therefore verifying their belief.  If you were to make the mistake of debating the likelihood of the pups tripping a potential BCS Champ, they would start by laughing politely and then get downright ornery at your suggestion that they were unlikely to win ALL their games because of their LONG HISTORY (count that six months) of gridiron success!

Yeah, I know we have pie-in-the-sky fans, too...myself included at times...but right now I think our base is just so beaten-down that reality slaps us silly every morning so hard that we cannot find our red-and-blue glasses to start our day.  This day is coming to Stankville soon.  And the reality check won't be pretty with their base getting all teased with accolades like the aforementioned.

I have a rather long memory, and as I recall, no matter where we fall....when we fall...the maroon platoon falls even further and hits bottom harder.
