As we all know Lance Lynn made his ML debut and now has two starts under his belt. Lynn picked up his first ML win with a 5-inning outing last night, yielding 1 run (earned) on 6 hits and 3 walks with 3 strikeouts. Lynn ran into a little bit of trouble in his first outing, yielding 5 runs (all earned) before Bianco LaRussa pulled him at the top of the 6th. Some positives in the debut were he only allowed 4 hits and no walks while striking out 5, but he did allow a homerun.
Alex Presley is still hitting the cover off the ball for Indianapolis of the Pirate's farm system (AAA). He is now hitting .338/.387/.519 for a .907 OPS in 60 games, a step down from the torrid pace he had earlier but still well above the league averages. He also has continued to run the basepaths well with 13 steals and only 2 caught stealing.
Nathan Baker is 3-3 with a 4.26 ERA and a 1.533 WHIP for the Pirates (A+) organization (12 G, 10 GS).
Bradenton Marauder teammate Phillip Irwin is 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP (9 GS). Pretty good!
Aaron Barrett set to make his debut with the Auburn Doubledays of the Nationals organization (A).
Scott Bittle... whereabouts unknown.
Chris Corrigan is 0-0 with a 3.57 ERA, 1.415 WHIP, and 2 saves on the year. He's 0-0 with a 4.05 ERA and 2.250 WHIP in 8 appearances for the Palm Beach Cardinals (A+).
Zack Cozart is on fire! He is now hitting .323/.363/.509 for a .853 OPS for Louisville (Cincinnati - AAA) in 51 games.
Ferguson is still struggling at .177/.257/.293 in 51 games for Wilmington (KC Royals - A).
Stephen Head is awaiting his debut as a pitcher for the Tri-City Dust Devils (Colorado Rockies - A).
Jordan Henry is hitting .267/.383/.310 with 19 of 23 steals for Akron (Cleveland - AA).
Justin Henry is hitting .335/.450/.430 with 10 steals in 13 chances for Erie (Detroit - AA).
Cody Overbeck is hitting .269/.328/.538 with an OPS of .865 (17 HRs) for Reading (Philadelphia - AA).
Drew Pomeranz is 2-1 with a 1.85 ERA and 1.068 WHIP for Kinston of the Cleveland franchise (A+). I think they are monitoring his innings/pitches this year, but he is at 10 G/GS. 63 K's in 48 2/3 IP. (20 Walks)
