With 12 games remaining, first place in the stunningly mediocre SEC Western division is locked-up in a 3-way tie between Arkansas, Auburn, and (gasp!) Ole Miss with each team sporting a 9-9 SEC record. The entire division is still in the hunt however, as Bama comes in at 8-10, State at 7-11, and LSU, the pre-season favorite, still numercially alive at 4-14.
Remaining SEC schedule to follow.
Based on remaining opponents win perrcentages, the difficulty facing each division team is as follows:
ARK: (.667) @UGA, UF, @USC, OM
OM: (.611) @UF, USC, MSU, @OM
AU: (.528) @USC, UGA, BAMA, @UT
BAMA: (.472) @MSU, LSU, @AU, USC
MSU: (.361) BAMA, @UT, @OM, LSU
LSU: (.333) UK, @BAMA, UT, @MSU
My prediction: No clue who gets the #2 seed at Hoover, but my bet will be they will have no better than the 4th best record in the overall standings, and likely be within a game of 15-15.
