Brassell is a Homer
[Two tips of the hat are in order. First, NerdtheRebel gets a Frontpag'd and a job well done for sharing this with us. And second, Nickolas Brassell gets an offseason Rebel of the Week award for bringing some strong hate early in his young Ole Miss career.]
This is the story of a young man who has a mutual facebook friend with one Nickolas Brassell. Upon a casual perusing of his Facebook news feed, he stumbled upon this:
That's right! Brassell (or one of his slightly, tech-savy friends) composed a photographic directory of high school seniors who chose to not grind for their state.
In the comment thread, Ja-mes Logan adds "THIS HOE COLD MY N***A" which means "Hey Nickolas, that's a neat picture." In response, Brassell says, "Bra all I'm telling Da world is don't sleep on us bra." With tears in my eyes, I humbly embrace this mantra: "Don't sleep on us bra".

That's awesome.
If I’m Houston Nutt, I’m not necessarily going to obsess over Mullen or MSU. But, I AM going to plant a huge chip on the shoulders of this Mississippi freshman class the day they set foot on campus. It’s high time our players start taking the Egg Bowl as personally as State does. I think the infusion of more in-state recruits will help in this endeavor. Not making excuses, but you have to think the lack of Mississippians in our starting lineups over the past couple of years certainly hasn’t helped us in the annual rivalry game with the school from which cardinal directions apparently originate.
This a hundred time over.
It’s good to see Brassell bringing some swagger and shit talkin’ to the table.
