When I heard that Houston Nutt got fired, I immediately thought about who would be the next head coach at Ole Miss. Now I know many rebel fans are disappointed with the new hire of Hugh Freeze because he's inexperienced, but at Arkansas State, he developed exactly what Ole Miss needs: a fast-paced offense. Houston Nutt was a predictable, 'run it up the middle' type of coach. Hugh Freeze is the exact opposite. Hugh Freeze developed a fast-paced, fundamentally efficient spread offense at Arkansas State and if there is any conference that is about speed, it's the SEC. Hugh Freeze may not be the most exciting hire, but I believe he will do well as our head coach.
