If we are really THAT much improved from the Marquette blowout last week, or if DePaul is just THAT dumb for playing us man-to-man and full-court pressing the entire game instead of playing zone. Having said that, it is nice to see Murph and Buck going nuts out there. Will be interested to see what Snoop White and Kendrick bring to the table.

You think it's possible that we don't even end up with
someone like Hugh Freeze now? I mean A&M is open now and Brown is supposedly retiring at Texas. Shoot, you can forget about Sumlin, Briles, Smart and probably Fedora now (though I never wanted him to begin with). That leaves someone like Freeze as our “best available” candidate. I sure hope the committee knows what they’re doing and has been dragging their feet for a reason. I didn’t want them to rush into a decision but sometimes you snooze and you lose (sorry for the poor cliche).

It was my understanding that Brunetti left for playing time, not because of the coaches. He saw the writing on the wall with Geno, and knew he’d have a better shot at starting elsewhere. but he really isn’t someone I’d be excited about bringing in at this point.
I wouldn't be surprised if Applewhite or Diaz took over at UT (if the Mack Brown retirement rumor is true).
And as much as I hate the idea of taking a reject coach, I don’t think Sherman or Brown would be terrible hires. Shit, Sherman took the Packers to three divisional championships. He also got A&M their first post-season AP ranking since 1999.

Our D is legitimately pretty good
DePaul is young, but they aren’t an awful team. They struggled last year but they have improved and actually have played a pretty tough schedule so far (and gone 4-1 against that schedule). I still won’t feel confident about our chances of going to the Dance this season until we show the ability to attack and score against a zone defense, but the defense so far this season has been the best we’ve seen under AK by a wide margin.

A win tonight and we should be looking at a 12-2 record (at worst) going into conference play. Honestly, a win tonight should have us in a good position to go 13-1 and have a pretty nice RPI heading into SEC play. We’ll see how we do after that…

of why everyone in conference play (and any coach with half a brain) plays zone against us. If every team played us man, we’d go about 25-5 each season under AK.
