It must done. There is no other way. Someone must open this can of worms. For the past week the question of why Houston Nutt was fired with three games left in the season has been really bothering me. I understand why he was fired....but the timing makes no sense, schools simply do not fired coaches in this manner. Unless of course they have a plan. Or a grand scheme. When firing a head coach history shows us you either pull the trigger closer to the beginning of the season or after the season has ended. Unless, of course, one of two things happen. First reason, scandal such has what unfolded at Penn State. The other reason is you already have a replacement and want to begin the pursuit before another school "beats you to the punch" so to speak. I have not seen, much less read, Houston Nutt's contract but I would be surprised if there is not a claus prohibiting the university from speaking to a potential replacement with out announcing it to Nutt while he is still employeed in good standing.
If there is no such plan, then Ole Miss has so many more issues at hand than the fans, alumni, and students know. It simply does not make sense. If the admin simply waited another month Houston Nutt's buyout drops significantly.
Work is calling...talk amongest yourselves.....
