If you are like me, you are tired of the "moral victories" BUT I will say, I was extremely pleased with how our players played this weekend (minus the 12 penalties).  Moncrief and Brassel are going to be unstoppable but we all knew that.  I have 100 percent changed my opinion about Mackey.  I love what he can do with the football.  Offense is going in the right direction.  Offensive line is still questionable but I think they played better.

On defense, our secondary played a very good game, held 3-4 future NFL WRs and a future NFL QB to zero TDs, and limited passing yardage. However, we got run all over once again.  DL needs some serious help along with LB.

I could be wrong, but my personal opinion is that the majority of this loss goes on the coaches.  The QB should have beaten the concept of throwing the ball away into Randall Mackey. NO reason he should get sacked with 1 minute left in the game with no timeouts.  I noticed on one play while we were on defense that Nutt called a timeout with 1 second left on the playclock. Why do that? Why? We ended up stopping them and they didn't score on that drive, but why waste that timeout?

I honestly think if we had a better O-line, D-line and linebackers coach and D-coordinator we would be so much better.  But I realize that that is probably gonna change only if Nutt gets fired.  I also heard that Nutt was calling plays this weekend. Any truth to that? I did notice we had much better play calling this weekend regardless if it was from Nutt or Lee.
