Finally got a victory, even if it was against a weaker opponent, a win is just that, a win. More good news, we can't lose next week and we have two weeks to prepare for Bama, who in my opinion is the second best team in the nation.
Anyways, back to the game yesterday. As most of the people who are close to me know, I am not a Randall Mackey fan; however, he may be able to grow on me. No turnovers and he managed the game fairly well. He started slow, but I feel like he got much better as the game went on. He still has a LONG way to go before we play Alabama's insanely good defense in two weeks.
I feel like the offense took a few steps forward but the defense took a few steps backwards. We have to figure out how to stop the run before Richardson and Lacey come to Oxford or it will be an extremely long day.
I still believe the future looks extremely bright for this football team. We are extremely young (Brassel, Moncrief, Singleton, Sederious Bryant, CJ Johnson, Morris, Sawyer, Golson, etc.). If we can get recruiting on track for this season, Nutt or whoever will be the head coach next year is going to have so much potential to work with. I think we may be able to beat a couple more teams down the stretch if we can continue to improve. Only time will tell.
Hotty Toddy.
