Rebel Roundup - 4/12/10 - Or, How the West was Won... Again.

Lefty! I know the updates were few and far-between this weekend (and, we neglected to give you an open thread), but we really love golf 'round here and got a bit distracted.

Good Weekend
I had one. And I hope you did too. Next weekend, though, will be better because it looks like everybody from this here stupid little website is going to be in Oxford for some spring football. Join us if you will.

Georgia Takes Sunday Game | Commercial Appeal
We're never going to win a Sunday game... Honestly, if we keep playing like this, we won't even survive an NCAA regional. /BrianWalker'sElbow'd

Ole Miss Star To Test Draft Waters | CBS Sports dot com
As has been announced, pondered, and lamented, Terrico White has declared for the NBA draft but has not hired an agent. This doesn't commit him to the NBA, but we'd be shocked were he to come back (please do though, Terrico). If 'Rico is to return to Ole Miss, he'll need to make such a decision by May 8th.

Ole Miss, Mississippi State Scrimmage Reports | Gulf Live dot com
Sounds like the running game was solid and the passing game not so. Juco will have a scrimmage up report soon so I'll just leave it at that.

Men Clinch the West | Ole Miss Sports dot com
Hey, guess what? That's the 9th time we've done that in a row! Also, the Wimminz clinched the West too! What does that mean? Dynasty, bitches. (Western) Tennis dynasty.

You're damn right.

More on that from Ivory Tower or 25 Days a Week sometime today-ish.

I cannot believe no one has written about the awesome tennis weekend.

Watching Chris Thiemann battle for the match-deciding win was epic! And I know for a fact that Ivory Tower was there and that he is free to write at this very moment.

The wimmenz match was awesome in doubles

It was family day, and senior day. When Abby and Laura clinched the point all tide fans let out a collective sigh. There were five rebel fans in the crowd and we cheered over the damn pep band. It was glorious.

Yep.

A pep band at a tennis match. It’s amazing how Bama really gets into their sports.
