Where the two will meet?
I gave you the worst case scenario of an old Rebel fan and why they feel the way the do, for the most part. Some folks can't let go of anything. Like old cars, they just keep piling up in the yard. You know what I mean, you have seen those homes I am sure. A lot of truth went into my post, and a little exaggeration. The real truth is, what ever the school decides I hope we can always be Rebels.
It appears most are ready to cut the ties to the oldest generation of Rebels who still walk this planet. And to the defense of that generation not all are racist. We always seem to have outside help with the racism issues, go figure. I agree, if they can't change after 40 years they aren't going to. We are better off without them, let's move along.
Let's change our names if we have to and peoples perceptions without a doubt. If we change our name when others say "Aren't ya'll the ones that changed your name 'cause you are racist." We can finally lie like everyone else has done for 40 years to us. "No ma'm, your thinking about Mississippi State, the Bulldogs, down there in Starkville."
"We've always been the Rebackcardsharkels."
Let's be smart, let's make sure our administration picks a positive mascot. So we can get that North end zone finished. Let's do our part as Rebels in hopes this will be a huge turning point for (The) University of Mississippi.
It won't be as easy as you think and it won't be as hard as I made it out to be.
I apologize if I upset any of you. Not really if you didn't want to play the game all you had to do was quit posting.
Hotty Toddy!
Did you guys find your tent yet?
